Chief Minister fears Jagan’s popularity: YSRCP
The YSRCP district president and GD Nellore MLA K Narayanaswamy stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders have criticised YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy at Mahanadu, fearing of growing popularity of YSRCP chief among masses. He said that Chandrababu Naidu knows very well that the TDP will face the humiliating defeat in 2019 Assembly elections.

The MLA ridiculed the TDP leaders for targeting Jagan as they are aware of YSRCP chief will become next Chief Minister. Speaking to The Hans India here on Monday, Narayana Swamy said that the TDP district leaders have made vain attempt to defect 3 to 4 YSRCP MLAs into the TDP by planting false reports in the certain section of media. He said that the YSRCP MLAs did not yield to the offers of TDP leaders.
The party district president has made it clear that the Jaganmohan Reddy is against party defections. He alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu’s party adopting unethical and illegal ways to lure YSRCP MLAs into the TDP fold. Speaking about just concluded Mahanadu in Tirupati, the YSRCP MLA alleged that the ruling TDP leaders have misused official machinery for party plenary on the instructions of Chandrababu Naidu.
The MLA described TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh as a kid in politics, who has no stature to make statements against Jaganmohan Reddy. He slammed the Chief Minister for not making an announcement about a package to Chittoor district and not passing a resolution for the welfare of SC, ST, BC, and minorities.
The YSRCP MLA said that the TDP leaders have made all efforts in Mahanadu to win the support of Kapu community. He stated that the YSRCP is extending complete support to the demands of Kapunadu leader Mudragada Padmanabham. He mentioned that the YSRCP leaders will file cases in police stations against TDP’s corrupt rule on June 2.
