 Disclosing the details at the district officers  meet organised  at Collectorate here on  Wednesday,  Collector H Arun Kumar said that the elected  representatives would have to play very crucial  role  in  creating   awareness  among public  on various developmental  activities and government programmes. 

Kakinada:Elaborate arrangements are being made for the conduct of Navanirmana Deeksha for one week from Thursday by East Godavari district administration across the district at village, mandal, assembly constituency and town levels.

Disclosing the details at the district officers meet organised at Collectorate here on Wednesday, Collector H Arun Kumar said that the elected representatives would have to play very crucial role in creating awareness among public on various developmental activities and government programmes.

On the programme to be conducted on the first day on Thursday, the Collector asked village sarpanches to take active role in conducting meetings with women organisations, representatives of voluntary organisations and villagers in large numbers. He said that the pledge taking programme to be conducted at all these indetitifed places at 11 am.

The Collector also directed the officials that this programme should also be conducted in V R Puram, Yetapaka, Chintur and Kunavaram mandals, which were merged into East Godavari, with active participation of people in large numbers.

Announcing the details of conduct of the programme at district headquarters on the first day on Thursday, the Collector said that a rally would be organised from ZP Centre to TTD junction and all the participants would take Navanirmana Deeksha pledge there. The public oath-taking taken up by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu would be at 11 am.

The Collector said that apart from Deputy CM N Chinarajappa, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, a host of other peoples representatives would also participate.
