Large number of students, who were present at the meeting, was seen observing the oath for the development of the State, administered by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, with a sense of responsibility.

Vijayawada: The Nava Nirmana Deeksha was a big hit with the youth, who were seen in huge numbers at Benz Circle here on Thursday. Large number of students, who were present at the meeting, was seen observing the oath for the development of the State, administered by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, with a sense of responsibility.

Sidhu, a final year engineering student, who came all the way from Machilipatnam, said that the Chief Minister’s speech inspired him and said that everyone should contribute for the development of the State.

Another student Gayatri from Vijayawada expressed confidence that State would develop under Naidu’s regime and said that it is the responsibility of the students to extend cooperation for the development of State.

However, Venkatesu a farmer from Vissannapet mandal of Krishna district averred that development is in the hands of rain god. He said that he is not aware of the Nava Nirmana Deeksha but came to Vijayawada as elders in his villages directed him to do so. He reiterated that development of rural areas is linked to good rains.

The police officials made elaborate arrangements and diverted traffic effectively to clear the venue within no time after the conclusion of the meeting.
