Kakinada : AP Kapu Welfare Corporation Director and senior TD leader Yerrra Venugopal Rayudu expressed anguish over the decision of Mudragada Padmanabham to take up indefinite fast at very curial stage of survey of Manjunadha Commission.

He termed it as unjustified and untimely. Speaking to this reporter on Wednesday, he said that the TD government had been implementing the promises made one by one and at this juncture instead of appreciating the measures Mudragada was creating
obstacles.

The Director of Kapu Welfare Corporation said that as far as loans to these sections in East Godavari was concerned, out of the total 15,000 found eligible 5,000 were provided with loans by March 2016 and the remaining 10,000 were being provided loans and the process would be completed in the second phase by the end of June. He reminded that the subsidy part was released on quarterly basis and June was the first quarter in the present financial year of 2016-17.

On the issue of conduct of survey of Kapu population he said that various issues need to be taken into consideration before coming to final conclusion and submission of report.

Mudragada might be thinking that the survey was like distribution of ration cards or distribution of voter slips habitation wise.

The TD leader expressed doubt that the senior Kapu leader might be suffering with ‘Personality identity crisis’ at this juncture and wants all the focus to be on him only by making unjustified demands.

He also said that Mudragada recently met several leaders including Dasari Narayana Rao and sought support to his agitation, probably planning it well in advice. In this connection he never bothered to meet Chandrababu Naidu .

If he was really interested in Kapu welfare, he wound have met the CM and would have requested him to expedite the reservation process.

Venugopal alleged that Mudragada was using youth power for his own popularity and never bothered about their welfare and future. He said that the TD government was implementing election promises and would do all the neefiful for Kapu reservations in addition of provision of loans.
