The government is committed to the welfare of the police, according to Chittoor District Superintendent of Police G Srinivas.   Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, he said that summer camp for the children of police personnel was held here on Sunday in which many children took part.   

Chittoor: The government is committed to the welfare of the police, according to Chittoor District Superintendent of Police G Srinivas. Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, he said that summer camp for the children of police personnel was held here on Sunday in which many children took part.

It is observed that the children of the police personnel are deprived of entertainment due to the busy schedules of the latter. Therefore, summer camp was conducted for the children in order provide them an opportunity to showcase their skills and at the same time to rejoice with their peers.

Many children are interested to become police officers and a few of them expressed to become Collectors and Ministers in future. The children have exhibited their talents in dance, music and sports. The need of the hour is to encourage them to achieve higher goals, the Superintendent of Police said.

Additional Superintendent of Police Abhishek Mohanty opined that police profession is a challenging one and it’s best to serve the society. He disclosed his father and brother, too, worked as IPS officers. DSPs Ram Kumar, Ramakrishna, Srikanth, Lakshmi Naidu, Devadas, Sudhakara Reddy, CIs, SIs and others were present.
