Amaravati: Guntur Mirchi Yard chairman post will be filled within a week. Telugu Desam Party secretary Manna Subba Rao is likely to be appointed as chairman of the Mirchi Yard. The government is expected to issue orders to this effect soon. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed party leaders to come to a consensus on this post.

Agriculture Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao is supporting his follower Manna Subba Rao, while Modugula Venugopal Reddy is recommended the post for party senior leader Vennna Sambasiva Reddy. The MLA requested to give at least 18-months term to Venna Sambasiva Reddy, it is learnt.

Prattipati Pulla Rao said that if MLA Modugula Venugupala Reddy will recommend names for director posts, the government will fill chairman and directors posts. If he submits his list, the Mirchi Yard new executive body will be appointed soon.

The State government which filled 140 Agriculture Marketing Yard chairman posts based on the MLA recommendations is unable to fill Guntur Mirchi Yard chairman on the same lines due to differences of opinion between Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao and MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy.

Modugula Venugopala Reddy asked the CM to do justice to his candidate Venna Sambasiva Reddy who sold his properties and spent for the party activities.

Minister for Agriculture Prattiapti Pulla Rao said, “The government will fill Guntur Mirchi yard chairman and directors posts by June-end. Modugula Venugopala Reddy said, “If the government will appoint new board for Guntur Mirchi Yard, I cannot do anything. I am requesting to do justice to Sambasiva Reddy.”
