Nellore: Website of the Commissionerate of School Education (CSE) has been a nightmarish experience for teachers. The teachers have to upload personal details and other data in the website and for those who are not tech savvy, the sluggish website is posing a daunting task.
Sources said that the site - http://cse.ap.gov.in – has been non responsive. Teachers across the State are reportedly criticising the Education department for providing useless site. A young teacher paid Rs 150 to a local internet centre in Vedayapalem for uploading the data. He had to visit the internet centre more than 40 times.
The education department as a part of its Continuous Comprehensive Assessment (CCA) of students has been asking the teachers to upload related data. While the teachers of primary schools handover the data of various exams conducted to MEOs, the teachers of high schools have to upload it directly on the site.“
We are doing job of a data collector rather an instructor, who has to concentrate on teaching. Officials are keen on data but hardly concentrate on facilities in schools,” a teacher told The Hans India, on the condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile, Mallikharjuna Rao, a 55-year-old government teacher, who failed to upload his personal details on the website by June 30, was admitted to a local corporate hospital. He reportedly suffered from severe trauma and low BP. Sources in the hospital said that he was murmuring about the data and site on which he had to upload in a delirium state.
“He is not tech savvy and has been visiting local internet centres for last 10-15 days. He was tensed as website had connectivity issues and fell sick over fears of missing deadline,” a fellow teacher said.
