​Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Castes Co-Operative Finance Corporation (APSCCFC) chalked out an action plan to provide assistance to 99,464 beneficiaries for the financial year 2016-17. Officials from 19 different departments met at Social Welfare Bhavan in Masab Tank on Thursday to discuss the methods for upliftment of dalits in the state.

Speaking to the media, APSCCFC chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao said unlike the previous year allocation, the State government this year has decided to have third party verification to identify the genuine SC beneficiaries.

He said that the amount spent for the beneficiaries would be placed in the public domain for transparency and accountability. The SC Corporation chairman further said that the State government using the services of Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme (CGFS) groups and with help of new technology would convert barren lands into cultivable in the Rayalaseema region.

“Our motive is to reach out and support 20 lakh dalit families during this financial year," he said.Centres for facilitation are set for the project reports for the loan sanctioned to SCs, he added. APSCCFC vice-chairman and managing director G Vijay Kumar said that the meeting aims at to providing employment to at least to one lakh unemployed dalits, continuous income generation and to implement new land purchasing schemes for the Scheduled Castes (SCs).
