Family ostracises defected MLA
The 25 family members belonging to three generations, who announced the decision included Reddy’s mother Obulamma, brother Sesha Reddy, who is Srisailam YSRCP in-charge, and aunt Seethamma. They accused the MLA of cheating YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy despite the latter offering him party ticket to contest the 2014 polls.
Atmakur: The family of Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy announced here on Friday that it was ostracising him for recently defecting from the YSRCP to the Telugu Desam, thus bringing a black mark to the kith and kin, while describing his decision as ‘unpardonable sin’.
The 25 family members belonging to three generations, who announced the decision included Reddy’s mother Obulamma, brother Sesha Reddy, who is Srisailam YSRCP in-charge, and aunt Seethamma. They accused the MLA of cheating YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy despite the latter offering him party ticket to contest the 2014 polls.
Obulamma, Sesha reddy, Seethamma and other family members told the media that they would have nothing to do with the personal decisions taken by the legislator.
The family, it appears, is in turmoil following his decision to switch loyalties to TDP on May 28.The family members accused the MLA of lacking values and ‘getting himself sold’ to the ruling party. They demanded Reddy to give a public explanation on the decision to defect to the TDP.
