Posts to deliver Pushkara Jalam at your doorstep
It aims to facilitate the devotees who cannot make it possible to attend the approaching Krishna Pushkaralu. It will be delivered in a 500 ml bottle for Rs 30 only on pre-booking basis at the nearer post offices in the city.
Vijayawada: The holy water (pushkara jalam) of Krishna river in a bottle will now be delivered at your doorstep by the Department of Posts and Telegraph.
It aims to facilitate the devotees who cannot make it possible to attend the approaching Krishna Pushkaralu. It will be delivered in a 500 ml bottle for Rs 30 only on pre-booking basis at the nearer post offices in the city.
Elaborating on the programme, Superintendent of Post Offices S V Siva Prasad said that customers can book as many bottles as they wish on one receipt at their nearest post office. Even options for online orders would be available. The scheme which was implemented at the last Godavari Pushkaralu, registered a record of 8 lakh bottles, which were delivered on time.
The department would try to reach out to as many people as possible this time, he added. Booking facility will commence on July 13 and continue up to August 5.
