Speaking to The Hans India, Joint Collector (JC) P Vekatasubbaiah said that there was tremendous response to Prajavani programme as people are coming from far off places and submitting their petitions.
He stated that District Collector Siddharth Jain is committed to make Prajavani programme a success. “Instructions were given to district officials to attend weekly grievance cell without fail,” he added.
The JC said that officials were directed to resolve people’s problems on the spot. A review on the progress in resolving the grievances by the departments concerned was held in the evening.
He urged the petitioners to make use of weekly grievance meets organised at mandal-level on every Monday as most of the petitions were related to villages. He stressed on the need for creating awareness about Prajavani programmes being organised at mandal-level.
Asked to comment over the impact of Prajavani programme, District Educational Officer Nageswara Rao said that it would be an opportunity for the district officials to resolve people’s problems.
District Rural Development Agency Project Director Ravi Prakash Reddy said that he attends Prajavani to solve the people’s issues instantly.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Project Officer S Lakshmi, District Coordinator of Hospitals Dr Saralamma and other officials have attended the weekly grievance meet.
