Visakhapatnam: Consoling the families of missing persons on board ill-fated AN-32 plane, YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy recounted his own experience when former chief minister and his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy chopper went missing which eventually lead to his death.

“I can understand your suffering as I felt the same when my father’s helicopter went missing for days,’’ he told the grief-stricken families.

Jagan arrived here on Monday and straight away headed to meet the grief-stricken families. He asked them to stay strong. “I have been praying to god for the safe return of your family members. We will mount pressure on the Union government to intensify the rescue operations. The way the aero planes are being operated now-a-days is worrisome,” he said.

Jagan visited the house of Bhupendra Singh, the missing quality examiner at the Naval Armament Depot, in 104 area of the city. Then he visited N Chinnarao’s family in Butchirajupalem, P Nagendra Rao family in Gopalapatnam, G Srinivasa Rao’s family in Vepagunta, B Samba Murthy’s family in Appannapalem and RV Prasad Rao’s family in Madhavadhara.
