Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh Auto Drivers’ and Workers’ Union (AITUC) called upon all the members of the union to participate in
the Statewide bandh on August 2 called by the Left parties protesting against the BJP’s non-committal stance on granting Special
Category Status to the State.
Union general secretary G Vamana Murty alleged that as the TDP had failed in exerting pressure on the Centre for the SCS, the BJP has
been dragging the issue. He asked the members to participate in the bandh in large numbers as an eye opener to both the State and
Central governments.
