Vijayawada: The APSRTC Vijayawada region on Tuesday announced the list of 396 special buses it will operate from satellite bus and railway stations to the bathing ghats along the River Krishna for the Pushkaralu.

The highest number of 100 buses will be from Dr NTR University of Health Sciences to various ghats in and around the city. These buses will be operated to Padmavati ghat, Krishnaveni ghat, Durga ghat, Bhavani ghat and Punnami ghat.

A total of 70 buses will be operated from Siddhardha Engineering College, 65 from Y V Rao Estate, 45 from Zakir Hussain College and 31 from Gunadala railway station.

Similarly, 25 buses will be operated from Vijayawada West railway station, 15 buses each from Vijayawada East railway station and Rayanapadu railway station and 10 buses each from Kondapalli railway station and VTPS.

The RTC has printed posters to display information of bus numbers, routes and other details for the convenience of pilgrims. These posters will be pasted on all the buses.

All these services will be operated free of cost for the convenience of pilgrims,” said In-charge DGP and Managing Director of APSRTC N Sambasiva Rao.

He released the list of special buses on Tuesday. He informed the media that the RTC has started the second city bus station at Vidyadharapuram for Krishna Pushkaralu in addition to the PNBS which will be exclusively used for the city services during these 12 days.
