VIPs throng Pathalaganga

Kurnool:On the seventh day of Krishna Pushkaralu, VIPs thronged Pathalaganga to take a holy dip. AP State Administrative Tribunal member Justice Ravi Babu visited the scared place with family members and took holy dip at Pathalaganga.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Babu lauded the arrangements made by the State government and district administration. Later, he along with his family visited Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and goddess Bhramarambhika Devi and offered prayers.
Another VIP, former judge of Allahabad High Court and President of AP Red Cross Society Justice Lakshman Rao too visited Pathalaganga. Lakshman Rao said volunteers from Red Cross Society were rendering their services to devotees during Krishna Pushkaralu. He appreciated the officers for making good arrangements at the scared place.
To enthral the pilgrims, several cultural programmes are being planned by the Culture department from Friday at Sri Bhramari Kala Mandir in coordination with Basha Cultural wing.
Oleti Rangamuni and his troop will perform Kuchipudi dance on Friday. Bhakti songs will be rendered by R Basavalingam and group from Vijayawada. Eluru Murali Krishna group would perform the Sathya Harishchandra play. Yakshna Ganam will be performed by Y Nagaraju and group of Kadapa.
