Vijayawada: A software engineer went missing in Pune 12 days ago. Parents finally realised the missing of the youth and lodged a complaint with the police on Wednesday. G Sri Harsha Reddy (28), a native of Nunna village near Vijayawada, joined as a software team leader last year in Pune in a private telecom company. He has been in contact with his family members regularly since then. He made a last call on August 6 afternoon and from then on wards his mobile remained switched off.

Worried about Harsha Reddy, his father Lakshma Reddy and relatives went to Pune and enquired about him. The telecom company authorities didn’t gave information and they claimed as if they have no information about the employee. Hence, he lodged a complaint with Kharadi police station in Pune.

Sri Harsha Reddy after completing MBA joined a private company last December, said his father. A phone call came from him on August 6 morning, it was the last call and since then his mobile is switched off, he added.

Family members tried so many times to contact him, but there is no response. As his whereabouts are not known, the entire family members are in a depressed mood, the father said. They went to Pune on August 8 and searched for his information for 10 days, but in vain, Lakshma Reddy said.

He further stated that Sri Harsha Reddy withdrew Rs 6,000 from his account from an ATM and there is Rs 65,000 balance in the account, said his father. “We don’t know what happened. Our family members are awaiting for Sri Harsha,” Lakshma Reddy said.
