Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister China Rajappa on Sunday refuted the allegations of YSR Congress Party and Congress leaders holding Agriculture Minister P Pulla Rao responsible for the rampant spurious seed scam in the State which is affecting the farmers.

Speaking to media persons, Deputy Chief Minister said that YSRCP leaders Botcha Satyanarayna and Rambabu were deliberately indulging in the false propaganda alleging the involvement of Pulla Rao and even party leaders like Nara Lokesh in the spurious seed scam in many districts to malign the TDP and defame its leaders.
Affirming that the police are looking into the issue in which many cases were filed and some arrested already for selling spurious seeds sale, China Rajappa said no one will be spared if found involved in the criminal act and stoutly denied his Ministry turning a blind eye on the issue due to pressures. Answering a query on the Cabinet reshuffle and reports of some members to be dropped, Home Minister said that it is the prerogative of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and made it clear that he will work sincerely for the party as a loyal worker irrespective of positions.
