Students excel in karate contest
Students of Sri Sudha High School at Dhone excelled in district-level Karate Championships held at Nandyal and bagged gold and silver
Dhone: Students of Sri Sudha High School at Dhone excelled in district-level Karate Championships held at Nandyal and bagged gold and silver medals. The students K Nitin, K Rohit, K Manoj and P Manoj participated in the competitions. Nitin won gold medal in 45 kg Kata and Kumiti event and K Rohit bagged silver medal in Kata event, K Manoj stood in third position in Kumiti and second position in 40 kg event while P Manoj won gold medal in Kata event.
The school correspondent Venu Gopal appreciated the medal winners and said besides education, sports are also very important for the children. Sports will help the students to maintain mental stability and will enhance their endurance capacity. Gold and silver medal winners said that they will work hard and strive to compete at the national-level contests. Later, Venu Gopal felicitated the gold and silver medal winners besides their karate coach Ramana. School teachers, students and other staff were present during the felicitation programme.
