Guntur: Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Wednesday said that the State government is conducting National Women\'s Parliament to increase self confidence and self respect in the women and mould them as better citizens.
Guntur: Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Wednesday said that the State government is conducting National Women's Parliament to increase self confidence and self respect in the women and mould them as better citizens.
He addressed a preliminary meeting held in the Acharya Nagarjuna University premises regarding the National Women's Parliament and released brochures relating to the meeting that is going to be held soon
Speaking on the occasion, he also said that women representatives from abroad and various States in the country will participate in the meeting.
He urged the University Vice-Chancellors to take steps to invite women from various Universities and colleges to participate in
the meeting and make it a grand success.
He said that the speeches of women in the power, highlighting women's problems is a useful thing for the youngster to understand.
HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao explained significance of the National Women's Parliament which is going to be held in
Vijayawada.
Government chief whip Kalva Srinivas urged the women in power of different positions and women's organisation leaders to participate in the meeting.
Principal Secretary higher education Sumita Dawra, ANU Prof K Narasimha Rao and others participated in the meeting.
