Apart from discussing budget-related issues, the government also sought suggestions from senior leaders, politburo members and MLAs.
The State government conducted meetings continuously for three days with various organizations including experts from various walks of life.
Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu discussed budget priorities and gathered opinions from them along with opinion of officials of various departments.
The meeting meant to plan budget allocations for various pet schemes of the government to boost the image of ruling party among the people, said an official on condition of anonymity.
He reminded that already the Opposition leaders are blaming the government over partiality in funds release.
However, Congress official spokesperson Kolanukonda Sivaji demanded the government to conduct pre-budget sessions for even opposition leaders. “It’s true that government did not invite Opposition parties for pre-budget meetings,” he lamented.
