Tirupati: The role of Public Relations (PR) became so important nowadays and it involves a lot of sensitivity and spontaneity, said Dr KV Ramanachary, Advisor to the Telangana government.
Speaking at a meeting held to review the book on ‘Role of Public Relations in Temples’ by TTD PRO T Ravi in Tirupati on Tuesday, he said that unlike in the past the need of PR in each and every department has increased, especially, in temples.
He stressed on the need of every employee working in Tirumala should play the role of Public Relations Officer (PRO). He opined that the members of Temple trust boards should have moral values and service oriented to maintain the sanctity of the temples. He praised Ravi for writing a book on the historic background of Tirumala temple.
Veteran journalist Potturi Venkateswara Rao said that he has read the book completely and praised Ravi for writing such a book.
Expressing his gratitude to the dignitaries, Ravi said that employees of the TTD felt very proud when Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the TTD for maintaining Tirumala neat and clean.
“They all work with great stress everyday dealing with thousands of devotees and to bring out all their efforts to the knowledge of public he wrote the book,” he said.
TTD publications division special officer Prayaga Ramakrishna presided over the meeting in which former TTD PRO Subhash Goud, Sri Venkateswara Employees Training Academy (SVETA) director Dr T Aanjaneyulu, former principal Dr Swarajya Lakshmi, TTD chief editor Dr Radha Ramanand and several others also spoke.
