BJP pays tributes to Jyothirao Phule
The 191st Jayanti of Jyothirao Phule was organized in a grand manner at State BJP office here on Tuesday. BJP State general secretary Jammula Syam Kishore garlanded portrait of Phule and paid floral tributes. Later, speaking on the occasion, Kishore said that Phule had struggled for the poor and downtrodden suppressed in the name of caste.

He made his wife literate and helped her start a school for women as he believed development was closely linked to the literacy of women, he added. BJP leaders B Sivanarayana, T Suribabu, Dilip and others were present.
