The Corporation Bank has started a Halla Bol campaign on Saturday for recovery of Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) as part of the campaign. A silent demonstration was conducted at Modugula Kalavathamma Institute of Technology for Women (MKITW) promoted by Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya Educational Society at Rajampet. The protests were held at several other places in Hyderabad city also.

Hyderabad: The Corporation Bank has started a Halla Bol campaign on Saturday for recovery of Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) as part of the campaign. A silent demonstration was conducted at Modugula Kalavathamma Institute of Technology for Women (MKITW) promoted by Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya Educational Society at Rajampet. The protests were held at several other places in Hyderabad city also.

Similar demonstrations are being held in front of NPA borrower's residence or offices by the officials of the bank. The NPA is not only a problem of the bank but also a serious social and economic concern. Corporation Bank MD & CEO Jay Kumar Garg declared year 2017-18 as war against the NPA. Apart from this, bank is also looking for one time settlement, suit filing, attachment of properties, filing FIR, seizure of vehicles and impounding of passports under the campaign. Motive behind the campaign is to reduce NPA of the bank.
