First Municipal Junior College to be set up in Nellore soon
Municipal Administration minister P Narayana assured that they would provide study material being supplied at Narayana Educational Institutions to the students who join the Municipal Junior College which would be started shortly. The minister interacted with students who excelled in SSC exams at Kasturba Kalakshetram here on Wednesday.

Speaking at the meeting, Narayana said that IIT foundation course at primary level would be helpful to the students in achieving their goals. Narayana lamented that government education has weakened due to lack of observation on latest trends in education system. IIT foundation course which was introduced in all municipal schools had given good results, he said.
Nellore Municipal Corporation is going to start a Junior College first of its kind in the entire State, said the minister. He also explained that they would provide education with latest teaching methods which were being implemented in Narayana educational institutions. Narayana also said that teachers play a key role in developing the society.
He also said that they would develop the district with the support of teachers and officials. Corporation would provide quality education in this institution utilising services of experienced faculty members, he added.City Mayor Sk.Abdul Aziz said that pass percentage of SSC students in the city had increased from 75 to 88 percent after they had introduced ‘Advanced Foundation Course’ in the civic schools.
Aziz explained that they would provide quality education engaging experienced faculty members in the proposed college. Basic amenities would also be provided in the institution like hostels, said the Mayor.Municipal Commissioner S Dilli Rao, District Educational Officer M Ramalingam, corporators Raja Naidu, Penchalaiah, Prashanth, Dasari Rajesh and others were present.
