The central government sanctioned Rs 17.2 crore towards science research to the Department of Science and Technology (DST) Centre in Sri Venkateswara University (SVU). Speaking on the occasion, SVU V-C A Damodaram expressed happiness over central government sanctioning funds to DST Centre for the second consecutive year. Tirupati: The central government sanctioned Rs 17.2 crore towards science research to the Department of Science and Technology (DST) Centre in Sri Venkateswara University (SVU). Speaking on the occasion, SVU V-C A Damodaram expressed happiness over central government sanctioning funds to DST Centre for the second consecutive year. The V-C mentioned that it is a boon for science and technology research in the state particularly in Rayalaseema region.
He called upon the faculty and principal investigators of several research projects to work hard for getting top position among other DST Centres in India. Prof Sai Gopal of Virology department and Prof Vijaya Bhaskar of Physics department are appointed as coordinators of the DST Centre by the V-C.
