In 2016, Jubeda had got 21 children adopted by issueless parents and thereby stood first in the state. National Advisory Committee chairman Manda Ramachandra Reddy visited the Sishu Vihar on March 20 and was impressed with the performance of the project director and informed the Union Minister of the unique feat of the Sishu Vihar.

Local NGO RDT also came forward to build a beautiful facility for the Sishu Vihar and once completed it would be a model Sishu Vihar in the entire country. The RDT is building the facility with Rs 1 crore. Subsequently, the Union Minister sent an appreciation letter through a special emissary.

The central government created an agency called Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) and through the passing of a bill simplifying adoption procedures way back in September 2015. As part of the simplified procedures, parents having no children can apply for adoption online.

District Collector G Veera Pandian presented the letter of appreciation to Jubeda Begum at an official meeting on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector had a word of praise for Jubeda and in the context exhorted the officers to take a clue from the project director and take the district to national fame through their achievements.
