District administration praised for good results in MGNREGA scheme
A team appointed by union government appreciated the district administration for availing MGNREGA scheme and providing more working days to the rural public. On Friday Under Secretary of Union Rural Drinking Water ministry along with some other officers visited the district and interacted with collector Vivek Yadav and some others here.

They said that the district administration has taken special care on the Mandals which are in complete drought and save the public from migrations. Later collector informed that Vizianagaram district stood in third position in entire Andhra Pradesh in availing MGNREGS scheme and providing more working days to rural people.
“We have undertaken check dams, deepening of water tanks and other works to increase ground water level in this district.” he said. Joint collector Srikesh Balaji, joint director of Agriculture K. Leelavathi and others have participated in the programme.
