Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy meets N Chandrababu Naidu
Former minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Velagapudi here on Monday.It is his first meeting with the Chief Minister after he was dropped from the State Cabinet.It may be noted that the former minister and senior TDP leader expressed disappointment over his removal from the Cabinet and sent his resignation letter for the MLA post.
Amaravati: Former minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Velagapudi here on Monday.It is his first meeting with the Chief Minister after he was dropped from the State Cabinet.It may be noted that the former minister and senior TDP leader expressed disappointment over his removal from the Cabinet and sent his resignation letter for the MLA post.
The Chief Minister spoke to him over phone and pacified him. But Bojjala has not been actively participating in party programmes. He even failed to attend the TDP’s Mahanadu which was held in Visakapatnam. However, Bojjala’s son participated in the Mahanadu. Bojjala’s meeting with the Chief Minister attracted the attention of political circles.
Actually, he has been facing health problems for the last few years. Bojjala, who also hails from CM’s native district Chittoor, has been a close associate of Chandrababu Naidu for the last four decades. Naidu reportedly dropped Bojjala from the Cabinet taking his health condition into consideration.
The Chief Minister however gave an assurance to Bojjala on the political future of his son. After the meeting with the Chief Minister, the former minister refused to speak to the media. But one senior TDP leader said that both have been friends right from the student days. He said that they might have discussed about Bojjala’s health and the future role for his son.
