Chandrababu Naidu is committed for the welfare of the farmers by announcing the slogans “ Rythey Raju “ ( Farmer is the king ) and “Jai Kisan “ according to Industries Minister N. Amaranatha Reddy. The TDP Government has created a history in the country in facilitating free power for agricultural operations in the state which has already waived the farmers’ debts to the tune of Rs.46, 000 crore he added.

The Minister has launched ‘ Eruvaka’ programme at V. Kota Mandal where he ploughed the field with a tractor for a while. Speaking on the occasion, Amaranatha Reddy said that TDP government is the replica of farmers ruling which has introduced number of welfare schemes to the development of the farmers “Chief Minister has taken a pledge to make the state free from drought by deploying the waters of Polavaram major irrigation project.

Emphasis has been given for completing Galeru Nagari, Handri Neeva, and Telugu Ganga projects with in the prescribed time schedule. “Pattiseema is the boon of the farmers representing Rayalaseema region. Funds would never be the constraint for completing the said irrigation projects and the peoples’ persuasion would be the most essential requisite in the regard” he added.

He assured that Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi waters would be supplied through Kuppam branch canal by the end of the year. He complimented the people and the farmers of Chittoor District for making Nava Nirmana Deeksha programme successful, which was held in the district during the last week.

The Minister furthers said that the farming communities should quit the traditional farming culture and entertain alternative crop pattern in view of the chronic drought conditions prevailing in Chittoor district since several decades.
