Tirupati: Unemployed youth, particularly those who have studied up to SSC and Intermediate need not worry about jobs once they get trained in skill development under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK). They have to just enter PMKK with the necessary proofs and after 2-3 months of training will come out with a job in their hands.
These centres will be exclusive, iconic and will be marketed as the best-in-class skill development centres. Each district will have only one PMKK centre which is a part of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and in Chittoor district it is established in Tirupati near TTD administrative building.
In Tirupati the centre has tied-up with Rooman Technologies Private Limited. The total requirements of NSDC are to be fulfilled by Rooman in this cluster. The PMKK at Tirupati has fulfilled every requirement and is waiting for inauguration. It offers six courses here in Domestic IT help desk attendant, Field Technician computing and peripherals, Field technician – networking and Storage, Accounts executive, Sewing machine operator and Junior software developer.
The qualifications for each course range from 10th class to Post graduation for those between 18-35 years. The training will be given for 2-3 months depending on the course. The centre can train 1400 students per year and this target is to be completed before March 2018. Online exams will be held to the students and at the end of the course certificate will be issued which will be followed by placements.
The Centre Manager G Viswanath told The Hans India that the admitted candidates should take the course seriously and complete it. Then only they will get placements. If they don’t complete the course they will not be eligible to join any other course at any other Kendra. Hence the opportunity could not be misused. Students will get complete free training but no accommodation is provided now. Interested students can contact him at 9490243896.
