Safe drinking water, medical facility assured to Ramapuram
Chittoor district collector PS Pradyumna assured safe drinking water, medical facility and also adequate precautionary measures to avoid any contamination of ground water in Ramapuram due to the existence municipal dump yard near the village.

Collector along with Chittoor MP N Sivaprasad, former minister Galla Arunakumari and Municipal corporation commissioner C Hari Kiran held a meeting with the villagers to convince them to allow the garbage disposal in the dumping yard near the village which was again stopped by the women from villages around the dump yard since Saturday evening.
He made it clear that it is not possible to shift immediately the dumping yard to another place as it will be difficult to find a suitable area for waste disposal. He told the villagers to allow another 18 months to dump the garbage in the Ramapuram yard itself till the waste based energy plant established. In the meanwhile, he assured the villagers to set up RoR plant for safe drinking water, medical camp every month for health check up in the village.
