Two women were killed and another seven women injured when a lorry rammed into the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling at Jangalapalli in Yerpedu mandal, 50 km from here on Wednesday. Injured were admitted in a government hospital for medical treatment.

Deceased Anasuyamma and Sara swathamma and their relatives of Renigunta town have attended a naming ceremony in Venkatagiri and were returning to Renigunta when the mishap took place. Yerpedu police registered a case and bodies sent to government hospital for post-mortem.
