Alumni meet decries privatisation of education
Old students of Government Arts College for Men conducted a meeting at the college campus in Srikakulam on Sunday. Students belongs to different batches remembered their college days. Saluru MLA, PeedikaRajanna Dora, former minister, GundaAppalasuryanarayana, Srikakulam RDO, BalivadaDayanidhi stressed on importance of education and health sector for development of the country.
Srikakulam: Old students of Government Arts College for Men conducted a meeting at the college campus in Srikakulam on Sunday. Students belongs to different batches remembered their college days. Saluru MLA, PeedikaRajanna Dora, former minister, GundaAppalasuryanarayana, Srikakulam RDO, BalivadaDayanidhi stressed on importance of education and health sector for development of the country.
They expressed serious concern over massive privatisation of these fields due to which development is being affected. On the occasion, old students donated Rs one lakh for repairs of seminar hall.
Speaking on the occasion college principal M.Babu Rao said that National Academic Accreditation Committee (NAAC) will visit the campus on September 25 and 26 andby that time some development works are required. Old student and former Principal of Arts College, BammidiPolisu, Surangi Mohan Rao, D. Sanyasi Rao, Natukula Mohan were present.
