Pithapuram: Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu lashed out at Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy stating that the latter would have a busy time attending trials in judicial courts almost every day, as 11 chargesheets would be coming up for trial in courts.

He was speaking at the TDP coordination committee meeting held here on Monday. “Yagams are performed for the public good, but Jagan is performing them to grab power in the state,” he mocked “The state government spent Rs 1,200 crore on minorities’ development and backward classes’ welfare in Nandyal constituency prior to code of election conduct coming into force,” he said exuding confidence over TDP victory in bypolls.

Yanamala reiterates government’s commitment to providing unemployment allowance

Yanamala made it clear that the government was working towards providing unemployment allowance for the jobless in the state. “Chief Minister constituted a committee to formulate policy guidelines. The committee is consulting experts, besides studying the similar programmes in vogue in other countries,” he informed.

Senior TDP leader Kala Venkata Rao said the state progressed by leaps and bounds under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu leadership. He said the state recorded a GSDP growth of 10.5 per cent, the highest in the country.

“Not a single industry, announced during Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy regime was materialized. Moreover, it has become customary for Jagan to involve in corruption,” he alleged. East Godavari district unit of TDP president Namana Rambabu presided the meeting.
