Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra on Friday expressed displeasure over the sanctioning loans to the beneficiaries by banks. Reviewing sanctioning of loans to beneficiaries at a meeting in court hall at the Collectorate, the Collector regretted over the absence of 28 branch managers in municipality coordination meetings and directed the LDM and coordinators of the respective banks to present all the 28-bank manager before him on Saturday.

He said there was no change in bankers’ attitude despite giving warnings. Mishra also wondered as to why the bankers are showing much interest in sanctioning loans to those persons who default payments ignoring the genuine poor people. The Collector warned all the bankers who withhold loans for SCs and STs would be booked under SC/ST atrocity cases for seizing their rights and opportunities.

LDM Subrahmanyam, Nabard AGM Prasad, ED SC Corporation David Raju, ED BC Corporation Jyothi, ED Minority Corporation Sastry and Coordinators of different banks participated.
