1,575 kidney ailment patients eligible for new pension scheme

Amaravati: State government has selected 1,575 kidney ailment patients for new pension scheme of NTR Bharosa. Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) has been engaged as nodal agency for distributing pensions for kidney ailment patients. State government announced Rs 2,500 for each kidney patient as pension few months ago.

SERP has distributed pensions of Auguston Friday for some patients and stated that the pensions would be distributed to the remaining patients after it received consent letters from government hospitals. As per G.O 418, the pensions would be given through the NTR Bharosa portal for building construction workers and workers of MNREGS too.
