Hyderabad: Thunderstorms with gusty winds and lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours, the Met department bulletin warned on Monday. The bulletin attributed the thunderstorms to the trough from the upper air cyclonic circulation lying over Kerala and its neighbourhood to Central Maharashtra across interior Karnataka.

It said the north-south trough from central Maharashtra to north interior Karnataka has become less marked. The east-west shear zone roughly along latitude 11.0°N extending up to 3.6 km above the mean sea level has also become less marked.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema from September 12 to 16. No large change during the period from September 16 to 18 is the weather outlook.
