As the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara will be commencing from next Saturday, Tirumala JEO KS Srinivasa Raju had inspected various places for parking in the hill town for the ensuing Brahmotsavams along with TTD CVSO A Ravikrishna and Tirupati Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty on Saturday.
Tirumala: As the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara will be commencing from next Saturday, Tirumala JEO KS Srinivasa Raju had inspected various places for parking in the hill town for the ensuing Brahmotsavams along with TTD CVSO A Ravikrishna and Tirupati Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty on Saturday.
Later, speaking to the media, the JEO said that they are anticipating heavy pilgrim crowd from day one of Brahmotsavams as this year the first day annual fete coincides with first Saturday of Tamil Purattasi month coupled with Dasara holidays. “We are making all arrangements accordingly.
On Garuda Seva day, there is parking facility in Tirumala for 7,000 four wheelers beyond which will be accommodated at Devalok and Bhavan's school premises in Tirupati for that day. The pilgrims will be given parking and traffic plan copies at Alipiri itself for better information.
Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar is making necessary arrangements of food, water, information counters etc. for Brahmotsavams, he said and added that the APSRTC will transport pilgrims from these two places in Tirupati to Tirumala. The JEO further said the Vahanam procession will commence by 7.30 pm and lasts up to 1 am on Garuda Seva day.
Srinivasa Raju made it clear the pilgrims will not be allowed to move in galleries on that day and half an hour after the completion of morning Seva. He stated that Annaprasadam will be distributed to pilgrims from 12 noon till 6 pm in galleries. The TTD is arranging giant LED screens at various places in Tirumala to witness the Vahana sevas for those who may not make into the galleries.
Additional temporary toilets are also constructed in the galleries. The JEO requested the pilgrims to cooperate with the TTD security and the Police department, and follow the traffic rules and regulations for the smooth run of the mega event. SE II Ramachandra Reddy, VGO Ravindra Reddy, Deputy EO Venugopal and others were also present.
