MP demands ban on Ilaiah’s book
TDP Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh Gupta has condemned the derogatory writings on Arya Vysya community in the book ‘Samajika Smugglerlu Komatollu’ written by Professor Kancha Ilaiah. He alleged that Ilaiah is flaring up differences between communities. Speaking to the media at a private hotel here on Wednesday, the MP said that not all families in Arya Vysya community are rich.
Kurnool: TDP Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh Gupta has condemned the derogatory writings on Arya Vysya community in the book ‘Samajika Smugglerlu Komatollu’ written by Professor Kancha Ilaiah. He alleged that Ilaiah is flaring up differences between communities. Speaking to the media at a private hotel here on Wednesday, the MP said that not all families in Arya Vysya community are rich.
He lamented that several Arya Vysya families are suffering losses in businesses as shopping malls are being set up in cities and towns. He stated that entire Arya Vysya community is angry with Ilaiah’s book. The MP said that if the book was not banned then Ilaiah would be made responsible for the unrest in the society.
Instead of putting an end to the issue, Ilaiah is provoking other communities against Arya Vysyas, he slammed and sought State and Central government’s intervention to end the row. Venkatesh said he had employed 60 per cent work force from SC community in his factory.
The MP stated that he had conducted mass marriages to below poverty line people for free of cost and constructed community halls, classrooms and other infrastructure for weaker sections. He suggested Ilaiah to withdraw his book.
