Visakhapatnam: The members of Human Rights Council of India and She Association of India met B Dhanalakshmi and assured to extend help to her. The both the organisations informed Dhanalakshmi parents that they would help even for the legal fight against her husband.

It may recalled that The Hans India had brought to the light that Dhanalakshmi’s in-laws and husband B Satish Kumar sent her away from the house as she underwent pregnancy termination thrice due to diabetes.

A story was published on September 26 in these columns. Both the husband and in-laws reportedly harassed her mentally and physically. After reading the news, Human Rights Council of India, Visakhapatnam city president M Sree Devi and legal adviser to She Association of India B Saroja, along with their members, visited Dhanalakshmi’s house on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sree Devi said that HRC team would speak to the in-laws of Dhanalakshmi for an amicable settlement. B Saroja said they would extend legal assistance to Dhanalakshmi. As per the legal terms, Dhanalakshmi’s husband committed several offences, Saroja added.
