In a review meeting held with DRDA, MEPMA officials and coordinators, Mishra directed them to upload and send the claims which come from urban and rural areas to insurance companies.
He also instructed the officials to pay the claim amount through electronic fund management system. Mishra said 10,057 claims initially registered at call centre and 113 claims were rejected.
Among those all the eligible claims were 9,944 and 9,512 claims were uploaded to Bima companies, he added. In those eligible claims, 8,388 were settled and cash was paid to 7,723, he added.
He instructed the officials to settle the claims which were waiting for necessary certificates from government hospitals, police department and from sadarem.
The collector also reviewed on bank loans to self-help groups under the DRDA and told that they fixed a target of Rs 1,233 crore to 52,990 SHGs in this financial year. He said Rs 427 crore loans has been sanctioned to 12,356 groups till now. Mishra informed that Rs 31.25 crore has been sanctioned to 2,701 groups under Stree Nidhi Scheme.
Mishra instructed the MEPMA staff should take responsibility for grounding works of units with the coordination of banks. Under the avenue plantation scheme, 2.43 lakh saplings have been planted in 604 kms.
The collector said the scheme for benefiting the fruit growing framers is being implemented in the district. Under the fruit crop harvesting programme, 3,857 farmers harvested horticulture crops in 4,149 acres. Project Directors of MEPMA and DRDA Ratnakar Babu and Mallibabu and area coordinators participated.
