Opposition leader and YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan Reddy announced that his party would conduct BC Janagarjana after completion of his Padayatra.
Vijayawada: Opposition leader and YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan Reddy announced that his party would conduct BC Janagarjana after completion of his Padayatra.
Addressing the first meeting of the leaders at the new YSRCP office in the city here on Monday, he said that his party would announce a declaration for welfare of the BC classes. The declaration would help all the castes of BC classes, he assured.
The BC classes are treated as vote bank he said and regretted that Telugu Desam government did not implement even a single promise. He lambasted the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for not fulfilling his promise to release Rs 10,000 crore for BC classes. The students of BC classes did not get fee reimbursement so far, he lamented.
He asked the leaders and associations of BCs to visit the 13 districts for exposing false promises of state government during the next six months period of his proposed Padayatra which starts from November.
The Opposition leader requested the party leaders to explain the people about Rajanna Rajyam when his party comes to power. The party would appoint each one from all the castes of BC classes in the committee to submit a report on the ground reality, he told.
He claimed that his father late YS Rajasekhar Reddy had introduced several schemes for welfare of the BCs. But the Telugu Desam government was giving only iron boxes and scissors to BCs he said and questioned why the Telugu Desam removed its manifesto from party website.
YSR Congress leaders Botcha Satyanarayana, Vijayasai Reddy, YV Subba Reddy, Ambati Rambabu, L Appireddy, Talasila Raghuram, Parthasarathi and several leaders were present.
