After putting up the good show at School Games Federation state-level tournament recently in Srikakulam, four students of AMG REM High School in Bheemili, Visakhapatnam were selected for National School Games competitions to represent the state in athletics.

Visakhapatnam: After putting up the good show at School Games Federation state-level tournament recently in Srikakulam, four students of AMG REM High School in Bheemili, Visakhapatnam were selected for National School Games competitions to represent the state in athletics.

Participating in Under - 17 category athletics, R Sai Anitha bagged three gold medals in 100 metres, 200 metres and 4×100 metres relay run. She got qualified in these three categories for National-level School Games, which will be held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from November 7 to 12.

Another student R Sekhar taking part in Under -14 category 100 metres run and 400 metres relay run, he won gold and silver medals respectively. The young athlete will attend the National-level meet of these two events in Maharashtra from December 1 to 5. S Revanth won bronze medal in Under - 14 category 400 metres relay run. G Pushpa won gold medal in Under -14 kabaddi event.

In boys Under -14 section, R Kumar and P Yogendra secured place in Kabaddi team for the national tournament, said physical education teacher Amar.
