Vijayawada: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu demanded that Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy should explain to people why his name figured in the list of persons involved in financial crimes and illegal funds transfer cases and mentioned in the investigative documents produced by various agencies including Paradise Papers.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, he said that Jagan opted for walkathon (Padayatra) in a bid to shield himself from different cases. The latest documents released by various agencies also revealed the involvement of YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy in the financial crimes, he pointed out.

“Y S Jagan’s international links have been exposed once again in the papers released by various agencies,” Yanamala said. Replying to a question, the Minister said the Union government’s investigative agencies would take appropriate action on the cases registered against Jagan. The TDP has been complaining against the frauds committed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to various organisations, he said.

The Finance Minister took strong objection to Jagan taking out Praja Sankalpa Yatra. He said that Jagan has no right to take part in Padayatra. He asked the Opposition leader to explain how he could amass huge wealth.

Jagan had constructed luxurious palaces for himself during the tenure of his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as the Chief Minister, Yanamala alleged. He opined that Jagan would be punished soon for his involvement in various financial frauds.
