Hearing aids distributed
Behind the ear (BTE) hearing aids were distributed to 60 deaf children in Bala Bhavitha Kendram at Government General Hospital here on Thursday.
Kakinada: Behind the ear (BTE) hearing aids were distributed to 60 deaf children in Bala Bhavitha Kendram at Government General Hospital here on Thursday.
The BTE hearing aids were supplied free of cost by the noted organisation Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped(AYJNIHH), Secunderabad.
GGH, Kakinada Superintendent Dr Raghavendra Rao supervised the programme while RBSK (Rashtriya Bala Swastya Karyakram) district co-ordinator Dr N Rajeswari organised the distribution event.
Dr Hari Prasad from the AYJNIHH conducted tests to the deaf children and distributed the hearing devices.
HoD, ENT Dr GSN Murthy, Pediatrics HoD Dr Manikyamba, audiologists Dr P Renuka and Dr Surya Narayana also conducted the relevant tests for the deaf children.
