Guntur: Consul General of the Republic of Korea in South India, Hyung Tae Kim said that they will set up a Consulate Centre in Guntur soon.Addressing a press meet held at Vignan’s University at Vadlamudi in Guntur district on Thursday, he said that South Korea’s relations with AP would be strengthened in the days to come. He said that Kia Motors was setting up cars manufacturing unit at a cost of Rs 13,000 crore in Anantapuram district.

He further added that they would give more jobs to the youth of AP. He informed that another 100 industrial units were ready to invest in AP in the next six months and over 2,000 Koreans were ready to work in AP. They had entered into a MoU with the State government for the development of AP. Companies and Universities in South Korea would have a meeting with the Vignan’s University to work together. They would give jobs to Vignan students in Kia Motors.

Vignan Educational Institutions chairman Lavu Rattiah said that over 1,500 skilled Vignan students were ready to work in Kia Motors and added that they would impart technical training to the students also. Vignan’s University Vice-Chancellor MYS Prasad said that the university entered over six MoUs with various universities in the South Korea.
