Speaking on the occasion here on Saturday, Venkaiah Naidu said that the convention centre is the largest in the state and it would host many national and international seminars and meetings.

overlooking a huge dais and has a fixed seating capacity of 1,600 seats and another 200 moveable chairs can be accommodated in the gallery section. Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University Prof G Nageswara Rao said that the convention centre was built at a cost of Rs 13.5 crore and it took around six years for the completion of majestic structure.
The convention centre has 12 CCTV cameras and it is an iconic structure on the Beach Road in the city, he added.Earlier in the day, Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu flagged off the Alumni Walkathon at the RK Beach and took part in it, along with alumni and faculty.
