Addressing a meeting at the indefinite fast camp organised by Rayalaseema Communist party (RCP) demanding that the Centre should establish Steel plant in Kadapa district, he said that about 1.25 lakh people in Kadapa district would get direct and indirect employment following establishment of steel plant.

He recalled that there was a change in the standards of people living in surrounding villages after a steel plant was set up in Visakhapatnam. Finding fault with those who said that he did not belong to the area, Bharadwaja said as a citizen of India he has got every right to participate in agitations anywhere in the country.

While recalling the assurances given by Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu during his recent tour in Kadapa district, Bharadwaja said it would augur well for people of the district if the assurances are fulfilled.

Andhra Pradesh Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samithi convener Chalasani Srinivas called upon the people to take part in an agitation for achieving the steel plant as the both Central and State governments were neglecting the issue though it was included in AP Reorganisation Act-2013.

RCP founder N Ravisankar Reddy appealed the all the political parties to join hands with them in the struggle. RCP leaders Linga Reddy and others were present.
