Visakhapatnam: Demanding the government for filling vacant posts, Doctors of Pharmacy Association of Andhra Pradesh staged a dharna in front of DMHO office in the city on Wednesday. As part of protest, the members of the association staged a unique protest by begging in the city for a couple of hours.

Addressing the gathering, association secretary Hari Krishna said the Government of India, Department of Medical and Health started the Doctor of Pharmacy’ course in 2008, but the government failed to provide jobs even after nine years.

The association demanded that the government conduct recruitments for clinical pharmacists in every government hospital as per the ratio of one post for every 50 beds.
