After a gap of one-and-half months, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park authorities opened female Hippopotamus Padma along with its calf for display to public. According to Zoo Curator B Vijaya Kumar, after taking all the healthcare of Pama, the decision was taken.

In fact, in the picnic season, the visitors of zoo disappointed as the Hippopotamus was not released to open enclosure. However, the curator and other staff after the careful examinations allowed both into the open enclosures to witness the public.
